COMING SOON: Shock Rocker Marilyn Manson Plays a Hitman

By Jonathan Patrick Hughes

Marilyn Manson in Let Me Make You a MartyrMarilyn Manson is by far one of the most talented yet hated human beings in the world. He has been judged by everyone for almost anything he has said or done since the early 90s when he first put together his band known as The Spooky Kids which was later changed to Marilyn Manson. The band was signed to Nothing/Interscope records and their debut album Portrait of an American Family was released with the help of the brains and fingers of Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails).

Each band member's first name would be of a sexy super star model and their last name would be of a serial killer. Marilyn himself has been known for crazy stage performances, unforgettable music videos, and his cover of “Sweet Dreams”, which was originally recorded by The Eurythmics in the 80s. Marilyn Manson is as successful as he is because he has pumped out studio album after studio album as well as toured every year. He has also has done a little bit of acting (Jawbreaker, Lost Highway, Party Monster, and The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things.

It was recently reported by Marilyn himself that he is back in front of the cameras in his biggest role to date. He plays a lonely hitman who goes by the name of Pope in a gritty film about two adopted children who fall in love with each other and hatch a plan to kill their abusive father. After viewing the trailer, it's quite difficult to admit where the film is heading, but if Marilyn Manson is involved, then that is all I need to know for it to gain my attention. I have been a long time fan and have seen him live over 20 different times. Despite what the media says and wants us to believe, I, for one, am highly excited to see his new film, and I will always be a supporter of his. Let Me Make You A Martyrwas screened in Montreal this past weekend and has been getting incredible reviews and write ups. There is only one thing left to do and that is what and see just how good this film is when it's released later this year.
