My name is Tracie Prichard, and I’m a registered nurse from the hills of Tennessee. I’ve been married for 20 years with three wonderful teens. I keep myself busy homeschooling, crafting, working in a haunted house, and watching horror movies.
My love of horror started from being scared silly at slumber parties around age 10. The first ones I saw were Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Fog, and Salem’s Lot. In middle school, I began reading Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, and Ray Bradbury. It was a huge deal for me that my first horror movie at the theater was A Nightmare on Elm Street in 8th grade. I remember the days spending, what seemed like an eternity, going through the horror section at the video store.
These days my favorite sub genre is psychological horror. I use that to my advantage and have a great time trying to scare others. This will be my 5th season working in a local haunt. I make props, design sets, apply make up and act. I’ve also recently acted and applied make up in a couple local indie horror films.
I’ve been fortunate to have met a lot of wonderful people through the horror community. My love of the genre just keeps growing, and I look forward to many more opportunities.
