From a few resources, it has been said that Warner Bros. was still developing a new Beetlejuice, but it’s been a while since there has been an update.

USA Today has been the latest source to say that Warner Bros. is no longer developing Beetlejuice 2. Burton himself who was asked on what is happening with the sequel responded with this:

”Nothing, nothing. I don’t know. I doubt it [will happen].”

The sequel could work out eventually in my opinion, but I don’t think it will happen until it catches the right attention. However, Burton, Keaton, and Winona Ryder have all said they would be on board with it. With all the remakes today, I won’t be surprised if they finally put it into the works in the future.
