The Untold Story won its only nomination, with Anthony Wong winning his first award for Best Actor at the 13th Hong Kong Film Awards. One of the most talked about films in Hong Kong cinematic history, this very disturbing film would become the breakthrough film for veteran actor Anthony Wong.
