With the release of a new poster on Twitter, Blumhouse have revealed that there will be a new remake of the classic seasonal horror Black Christmas on Friday 13th of December 2019.

Although the previous remake was met with mixed responses from horror fans, the new Black Christmas already looks set to a box office hit. A seasonal horror is always popular amongst horror fans, crossing that over with a release date of Friday 13th and the Blumhouse name attached, what could possibly go wrong? After all they have proven in the past even if a film has a mauling from the critics, The Blumhouse name always creates enough interest to get people into the theatres.

Sophia Takal is set to direct based on a script which she co-wrote with April Wolfe. No details have been released as to the cast at this time, but we can expect to hear a lot more news regarding the project over the next few months.
