John Carpenter is co-writing a comic about the Joker and it sounds amazing.

When John Carpenter says, he’s going to do anything horror fans listen. Whether he goes on tour with his son, producing a movie, or even talking about possibly coming back to directing. Out of all the things, today is a piece of excellent news when he will be co-writing a comic about none other than the Joker from DC comics.  The story is called Joker: Year of the villain # 1. This will be a one-shot comic but over 40 pages. “Lex Luthor, now reborn as a human-alien hybrid, offering various DC villains (and even some heroes) heightened abilities and/or tools if they’ll join his Legion of Doom. The Joker, being Joker, isn’t waiting by the phone for Lex. This puts The Joker on a mission to get his swagger back in a world gone bad by out-badding everyone else, proving that the greatest evil is always the one that leaves them laughing.”

“The Joker is the greatest villain in comics. I’m proud to be reunited with Anthony on this project.” -John Carpenter. John also worked on the comic Big Trouble in Little China: Old Man Jack with writer Anthony Burch who wrote for Borderlands 2 and will be working with John on the Joker comic. As of right now, the picture shown is the first piece of work we have from the comic. The comic is set to come out Oct 2nd two days from the Todd Phillip Joker movie.
