Monster at the Movies: Exit 2020

Exit is a 2020 horror thriller written by Mathew Bayliss and directed by Michael Fausti. It stars Tony Denham, Charlotte Gould, Christophe Delesques, Leonarda Sahani, Robert Alexander, Billy James Machin, and Michael Fausti. Things quickly spiral out of control when two couples are forced to share an apartment overnight due to an accidental overbooking. This was a unique, hypnotic, entertaining film that really digs its way under your skin. The music is fantastic and a bit unnerving at times. It’s dark and seductive, with tension so thick, you can cut it with a knife. The lighting and costumes could have been better, and it could use a little work visually, however, there are some amazing performances and the pacing and editing are excellent. The film is engaging and thoroughly entertaining from beginning to end. It’s sick and twisted and one disturbingly good time. However, it’s not for everyone, as it’s more of a slow burn that bounces around your skull for days. Exit is a tantalizing psychological thriller that plays on your deepest darkest desires. It’s sleazy and sexy and definitely makes you question your morals. It’s a wild steamy ride full of passion and suspense. If you’re looking for something out of the norm, give this one a spin.
