MUSIC REVIEW: Beheaded – Beast Incarnate (2017)

Earsplit Public Relations is really bringing back the true meaning of Death Metal with some …dare I say it, ear splitting metal bands that simply murder what we hear from the big wigs of metal these days.
On this label there is a healthy mix of Death, Doom, Grind, Black and Thrash Metal. First up for my listening pleasure on this label is the band Beheaded of the album Beast Incarnate.
Straight out of the gates with this one it’s a barrage of blast beats and growls. Ya know, the way Death Metal is suppose to be. The first song, “Beast Incarnate”, really gives the album title its meaning and brings to you what the rest of the record holds true. The songs to follow are no less brutal, and unlike some modern day more well known Death Metal bands, there’s nothing clean about this record. It is gritty, raw, and killer to the point of being terrifying.
Song by song there is seriously just no stopping this band. The brutality of the drums, let’s focus here for a moment. The drums are so on point, 30000 bpm (slight exaggeration) and clean with a flawless Death Metal precise landing. You might fall in love with the just the drumming alone on this record. This isn’t to take away from the rest of the band, I’m just saying this is something I noticed right off the bat.
Beast Incarnate, right from the beginning of the album, I mean as soon as you hit play, will have you head banging – even if you’re driving down the road. You will NOT stop until the record is over this I can promise you. So wear a helmet and be safe while driving and listening to this record. Each song is a supreme example of what Death Metal truly should be. This is my first listen of this band and I’m in awe at how precise and solid this album has been executed. Lyrically, vocally, and musically, this album is truly something to buy today!
When I listen to metal bands, a lot of times some of the music is sloppy and a bit simple for the style of music. You’re asking yourself, “Who are you listening to?” I listen to the underground world, and some of the more popular bands as well, and if you listen close, you can hear some rushed recordings and who is just trying to be one of the cool kids. This is not the case here. This whole album should be in rotation in any TRUE metal head’s collection. Warning: This is not for people who think Five Finger Death Punch is a metal band. No no, this is the real deal.
Until next time... Keep it Creepy, Schock
