Budro Partida) I have to admit it’s rare to see a werewolf movie in the indie horror scene. Given there are some out there however though this one is very different

The film is about a young preppy guy who’s looking to be a werewolf. It starts simple, and the actor (Joseph Fotinos) does a great job; he comes off crass and just crazy, but therein lies the first mistake. He knows what he’s doing.

The film shows the transformation, which isn’t over the top, but we get the idea. The preppy friend (Logan Pall,) tells his best friend (Ray A. Roberts II) where they both take the journey together as werewolves. They go out hunting, and the best part is we see actual effects taking into place.

The preppy kid gets a stomach rupture from overeating, and the other friend is well he’s passing through pieces of bone, fur and whatnot which we see Oz gleefully explain as wolves they have better stronger bodies that they can eat more and not go through any problem, however, though as humans we don’t have that capability. He explains that on the first night, some people will tend to go overboard, thinking they can handle it.

I’m not only happy to see a werewolf movie filmed in my home state but happy to see a werewolf movie that’s smart and doesn’t try to be hip or trendy. It doesn’t dumb down the film since it’s dealing with a subject that can never happen, but if it did happen, this would be the result.

The director started a crowdfund, met the goal, and began production quickly. They even sold out their first theatrical premiere at the Alamo drafthouse in Austin. The film is in talks for a bigger audience, which I’m glad to hear during the q&a the director came off very friendly about opened up about the trials and tribulations of working in open fields, working with fake guts naked people in the Texas heat. Also, if you’re curious, the website featured in the movie is real and is being used for the director’s use for promotion and contact info. For more info, you can find the website here Horny like the wolf. Yes that’s a real website used for the movie.
